Our mission statement

Providing affordable, innovative and rapid routes to commercialise our clients microfluidics ideas - from concept to production.

Micromax Technology was founded by two microfluidics experts with over 15 years combined experience of microfluidics both in academia and industry. We have extensive experience of microfluidic device design and fabrication and in-depth knowledge of the applications of microfluidics to the real world. Combined with our links to production facilities based in China, we have the ability to provide rapid development and commercialisation services to companies and researchers who have a microfluidics application they wish to bring to market.

In the early stages of development we aim to provide outstanding design consultancy and rapid prototyping services at reasonable cost to quickly validate design concepts. Our rapid prototyping facilities include SU-8 photolithography, PDMS casting, glass / quartz etching and polymer hot embossing.

After initial concept and design validation, we then aim to offer a fast route to scale up device fabrication to allow low cost, high volume production of microfluidic devices. By outsourcing to our partners in China, we can offer competitive microfluidic chip production using a range of methods from wet etching with standard photolithography to injection moulding, die-cutting and lamination techniques. Our knowledge of all the processes involved such as design, tooling and moulding through to device bonding and packaging, will allow us to maintain a high standard of quality control throughout the production.

Having experienced, first-hand, the difficulties involved in early stage development and commercialisation of microfluidics, the company was formed in response to this need.
